Grand Cay Bulkhead Tie Rod Repairs

Starting Saturday, May 2nd, employees of TMPD will be assessing and commencing repairs to bulkhead tie rods. These necessary repairs were discovered upon inspection of the bulkheads recently performed.

These repairs are expected to take place (approximately) over the next 2 months.

Board of Directors Elections

The next directors election is scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2028. The District anticipates contracting with Galveston County to conduct the election and to use the regular County polling places for the election.

Applications for a place on the ballot may be filed from January 19, 2028, to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 18, 2028. Petition TCEQ for In-District Meetings

A District resident may petition the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to require that board meetings be held inside the District but not further than 10 miles from the boundary of the District only after (1) a qualified written request was previously submitted to the Board of Directors to designate a meeting place within the District but located not further than 10 miles from the boundaries of the District, and (2) the Board failed to designate a suitable location.
